USTA visits Lima Schools, trains local physical education teachers

USTA donated more than 800 tennis rackets to Lima City Schools Thursday. 

LIMA – The United States Tennis Association (USTA) visited the South Science and Technology Magnet School in Lima Thursday to train physical education teachers from Lima City Schools.

Physical education teachers from around the county also participated in the training.

The mission of the USTA Foundation is to bring tennis and education together to change lives. In addition to training the teachers, USTA donated more than 800 tennis rackets to Lima City Schools

The professional development training was lead by Ben Lilly, the northwest Ohio USTA Coordinator, who covered the fundamentals of tennis.

Physical education teachers throughout the Lima City Schools will receive rackets for their school buildings.
