LIMA – Lima Urban Minority Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outreach Program Inc. (UMADAOP) and Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth (SAFY) have summer programs available. These summer programs are designed to help youth stay connected as well as challenge them to grow.

Lima UMADAOP has hosted a summer program for youth for many years focused on youth development, field trips, and growing a garden where they not only learn the basics of planting and watering but also harvesting and preserving.

SAFY’s youth program is in its first year as part of their new Youth Drop-in Center helping kids to become emotionally resilient.

For more information about the summer programs available for youths contact Jasondra Upthegrove at 419-222-4474 at Lima UMADAOP and Judy Lester or Pat Reynolds 419-222-1527 at SAFY.
