LIMA — The SpartanNash Foundation announced they will donate $5,000 to West Ohio Food Bank.
This donation is one of 19 the SpartanNash Foundation is making on behalf of its 19 distribution centers located throughout the United States. Throughout the year, SpartanNash distribution centers donate products to nonprofits working to end hunger and provide shelter.
“The SpartanNash Foundation has three areas of focus—hunger, shelter, and patriotism,” said Meredith Gremel, VP, Corporate Affairs and Communications, and Executive Director of the Foundation. “We are proud to report that over the past ten years our distribution centers have donated nearly $1 million dollars to community food bank and pantry partners in the communities we serve, in addition to donating millions of pounds of food.”
The SpartanNash Foundation was formed following the merger of the Nash Finch Company and Spartan Stores, and it represents the best of the NFC Foundation and the Spartan Stores Foundation. It is focused on providing grants to nonprofit community partners who are working to end hunger, provide shelter, and support our military heroes.
