LIMA – Octopus Productions, a local, non-profit organization committed to producing high quality, thought-provoking theater, will donate $14,000 to the Lima Symphony Orchestra.
This will be the first charitable donation Octopus Productions has made.
Octopus Productions mounted Cabaret, its initial show, in June 2016 and sold out the entire run.
Formed by Christine O’Neill, Shannon Wannemacher, Chad Stearns of Modo Media and Deb Duncan-Faul, Octopus Productions will present its next collaboration, Shadows of Poe, in October in Lima and in Ada.
Each season, the LSO realizes five classical Grand Series concerts, engaging pops concerts, our beloved holiday performance, Candlelight concerts in Lima and the surrounding region and a captivating family concert designed especially for young children.
The LSO serves as a resource for our entire community, complementing our schedule with annual free Patriotic Pops concerts in our local parks and public spaces and a full host of educational programs.
The support of Octopus Productions will allow the LSO to expand its youth and outreach programs during the 2016-2017 season.
The check-presentation ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Jameson Manor, 1028 W. Market Street, Lima.
