LIMA – Tre Sean Upshaw, a dance student at The Arts Center School of Music and Dance, will be competing for Junior Mister Dance of America June 29 – July 9, 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee at The Gaylord Resort.

Tre Sean Upshaw, a dance student at The Arts Center School of Music and Dance, will be competing for Junior Mister Dance of America June 29-July 9, 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee at The Gaylord Resort.

Tre Sean Upshaw will be competing for Junior Mister Dance of America June in Nashville, Tennessee.

On February 6, 2016 Tre Sean was crowned the title of Junior Mister Dance of Ohio. He went through a rigorous weekend of auditions, interview, and solo dance competition and came out on top winning Junior Mister Dance of Ohio. Winning this competition has made him eligible to compete on the national level with Dance Masters of America.

In preparation for the upcoming national competition, Tre Sean will be training with master dance teachers and taking several technique classes. His solo for the national dance competition is a jazz routine to the song “If My Friends Could See Me Now”, choreographed by Drew Burgess. Mr. Burgess will in Lima to help Tre Sean get ready for the upcoming nationals June 9-10, 2016. Drew Burgess is a well known dancer, choreographer, and master teacher who has held the title as Mister Dance of America. We are very fortunate to have him come to Lima and work with our dancers and Tre Sean Upshaw.
