I’d say this year overall has been a social media Christmas for Business and all they can do with Facebook-owned apps! (Instagram being one of them) So what is the update on Instagram for business and what do you need to do to get it?

Instagram for Business is very similar to what Pinterest did years back. They’re allowing you to take your personal page and convert it to a business account so you get analytics, can add in more on your business and users can search specifically for your brand. Why are all of these new Instagram updates relevant to you and your business?

For starters,  Instagram is one of the apps that is dominated by millennials.  In fact, over 90% of the 150 million people on Instagram are under the age of 35 and until recently, it’s been difficult to pull accurate insights from Instagram unless you paid a third party platform. Over time I expect to see more insights become available. I wouldn’t be surprised if Facebook goes as far as to adding Instagram analytics to your Facebook page insights.They’ve already made Instagram Ads tie into your Facebook Ads for ultimate reach.
