LIMA – The 2016 Allen County Veterans Memorial Foundation Golf Tournament will take place at Hidden Creek Golf club on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 21 at 9 a.m.
Proceeds from the tournament will go to support the construction of the Allen County War Memorial. Two acres of ground in a very visible and high traffic area has been provided to the Allen County Veterans Memorial Foundation on which to build the Memorial. The location of the site will be announced on a date mutually agreed upon by the donor and the Foundation.
Members of the organization have already met with an architect in the Washington D.C. Area to begin the design process.
Registration for the golf tournament is open now. Cost is $70 per player and includes cart and steak dinner meal. As an enticement for you to register early, one of the board members is donating an Annin 3 x 5 nylon American flag with embroidered stars and includes a wall mount spinning no wrap flag pole. The first 12 golfers to have their registrations paid for will be entered into a special drawing for this flag and pole.
We are looking forward to seeing you on Armed Forces Day at Hidden Creek Golf Club.
