Q. What is the419?

A. the419 is a community magazine covering Lima and Allen County, Ohio. We publish weekly, and update our website daily. the419 is unique in that we offer a wide range of entertaining features not found in other local media. We share the best of our community, from our evolving downtown to must-see shows and exhibitions, to city development, to the entrepreneurs and leaders shaping the future of our community.

Q: Why have you gone digital?

A. Since beginning weekly production in September 2014, we have been overwhelmed by your response to this new news source. We know you are reading and enjoying the419: We see 30,000 unique users and 100,000 pageviews online each month. And we continue to grow: We average 67 percent new users each month and we’ve seen user growth of 186 percent month over month. Since our launch, we have seen more than 6 million impressions on Facebook and Twitter. These are real, verifiable numbers, and we thank you for reading the419 each week.

Q: I’m confused. Is there still a magazine?

A. Of course! Just now, it is only online. Our e-Edition is interactive and optimized to best serve you, our loyal readers. Read it on your desktop, tablet, or smartphone.

Q: When does the new edition come out?

A. the419 e-Edition is published every Thursday morning at 8 a.m.

Q. What is the Cost?

A. There is no cost. There is no paywall.

Q. So it’s free?
