Ondo, of Ondo Media in Columbus, produced “The Story of Kraft Memorial Stadium” which is the story of the stadium named after Elida football player, Roger Kraft, who lost his life in 1959 after a helmet to helmet head injury.

ELIDA – Elida High School 1985 Graduate Mr. John Ondo received two Emmys at the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) ceremony held in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Ondo, of Ondo Media in Columbus, produced “The Story of Kraft Memorial Stadium” which is the story of the stadium named after Elida football player, Roger Kraft, who lost his life in 1959 after a helmet to helmet head injury. “I walked past that sign a million times and asked who was Roger Kraft? So 35 years later I decided let’s find out and do a story.”

Last fall Ondo interviewed surviving members of Roger Kraft’s family as well as a leading sports injury expert from Ohio State and produced a 4-minute story which aired on TV44, as well as online.

He was also awarded an Emmy for lighting in another video he produced called, “Inspire Me.”

Ondo Media also produced documentaries about the history of Elida Schools in 2010, and Gomer School in 2013, which he received multiple awards including a 2014 Emmy for the Gomer film.
