Downtown Lima holiday festival returns Dec. 5

Breakfast with Santa, coloring contests cookie and ornament decorating at downtown Lima’s annual festival

LIMA – The downtown will be full of wintery fun activities Dec. 5.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Downtown Lima will host its annual Downtown Lima Holiday Festival.

The day will include a variety of activities that day including Breakfast with Santa, art projects, cookie decorating, ornaments making and more at other downtown locations.

The Met will host Breakfast with Santa from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 5 at 306 N Main Street. Children will have the opportunity to participate in holiday activities and visit with Santa about their Christmas wish list. The breakfast cost is $5.

Alter Ego Comics will host Star Wars Ornament making and the Meeting Place will have candy cane flavored hot chocolate for $1.

List of activities during the downtown Lima 2015 holiday festival (all activities 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. unless otherwise noted):

  • The Met – Breakfast with Santa from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $5.
  • Alter Ego Comics – Star Wars Ornaments making. Free activity.. Bring in a donation for Toys for Tots and receive 20% off any purchase.
  • Aged to Perfection –  Ornament decorating. Free activity.
  • Maynard’s Consign and Design – Gift drawings every hour/grandma Christmas story time. Free activity.
  • Custom Staffing – Hot chocolate and treats. Free activity.
  • For the Love of Quilts – Coloring contest. Free activity.
  • Beauty by Jill –  Christmas craft. Free activity.
  • Fat Cat Diner –  Cookie decorating. Free activity.
  • Allen County Museum – Christmas Tree festival. Free activity.
  • Nitza’s – Four $25 gift certificate giveaways and window display. Free activity.
  • The Meeting Place – Candy can hot chocolate. Cost is $1. Shawnee High School art club: crushed canned art project. Free activity.
  • Wingate by Wyndham – Christmas ornaments by Shawnee Alliance Church. Free activity.
  • Hofeller’s – Refreshments. Free activity.
  • Downtown Lima Inc. – Shopping Pass. Free activity.
