Lima City Councilman Derry Glenn and the Mizpah Community Center will update the Lima area of the plans for the upcoming Bridge Over Troubled Waters Project that will serve to aid the residents of Flint, Michigan on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the Mizpah Community Center, 1802 South Central Ave., Lima.

As others focus on the cause of the crises – the Mizpah Community Center believes they must focus on the effect. Seemingly, disaster hits hardest on those who are least prepared to meet its challenge. Lima residents have been dropping off bottled water this week, and the delivery truck is set to leave on Saturday.

According to the press release:

“Now that Flint’s water issue has reached this tragic state, we are all trying to help. What we’ve learned over the past 3 years is if everyone helps a little, we can accomplish much. We are doing what we can do to help them because we feel a soul connection with their suffering.”

Lima City Councilman Derry Glenn and TJ Smith, Founder of Daddys@Work have coordinated this effort, and we want the people of Flint to know, we are committed to supporting them. We also need Lima to know, there is still time for them to help us reach out to those in need. A Cool Drink of Water –it’s really not that much to ask…..

For more information, please contact Councilman Glenn at 419-905-9572 or TJ Smith at 419-371-1073.

Sponsors of the project include Menards, Peacock Water and Western Sizzlin’ Steakhouse.
