LIMA – Blues musician Geneva Red will be at Liberty Arts Magnet School and Lima Senior High School the week beginning Jan. 11. She will work with Liberty eighth graders and Lima Senior Jazz Band members.

The visit is thanks to the Blues Committee, which has for many years provided opportunities for students through bringing artists and musicians into the schools and through student scholarships.

Geneva Red is one of the few female instrumentalists performing on the blues harp and leading her own band, The Roadsters. Her outstanding harmonica ability, strong vocal talent and high energy have established her as a rare and exciting performer.

She tours nationally and internationally and has had CDs charted in the “Top 25” blues radio playlists around the world. She often appears at large and historical blues festivals and revered blues clubs around the world.

Geneva Red will perform free for the public at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, at the Allen County Museum.

Below is the schedule of when she will be in the schools.
