Robert Foreman, Community Outreach Specialist for Betty’s Farm says, “Capturing a special moment through the lens of a camera can open up a whole new world. Photography can be another opportunity for individuals with autism to learn and develop communication skills. A photography class will be a great way for adolescents with autism to build confidence and develop fine motor skills, concentration, and cooperative learning. We are very excited to offer this opportunity to participants in the SLC.”
Betty’s Farms’ SLC provides recreational, community, and social opportunities for individuals with autism. The photography class will be held at Betty’s Farm in Lima, Ohio. The cost of the six sessions will be $35.00 and will need to be paid in advance. SLC participants must be able to participate in the activity independently or with the appropriate support staff provided by the family. Participants are required to bring their own camera.
