ArtSpace/Lima photography club presents annual Juried Exhibit

LIMA – The ArtSpace/Lima Photography Club will present its Annual Juried Exhibit from Jan. 8 through Feb. 13, 2016 in The Ellen Nelson Gallery at ArtSpace/Lima.

For the 2016 exhibit, 83 artists from a 100-mile radius around Lima entered 248 photographs, 92 of which were accepted into the show.

Jurors for the exhibit were: Jaclyn Sollars, proprietor of Avalon Photography studio in Spencerville, whose work has been published internationally as cover art for several books, in magazines and on websites and has been used in the marketing for the film “Red Riding Hood” and as packaging imagery for Nordstrom Department Stores; and Denis Lee, past Dayton Photography Club president and nature photographer.

The opening reception for the ArtSpace Photography Club Annual Juried Exhibit will be on Friday, Jan. 8, 6:30-8:30 pm. Prizes, totaling over $1,000, will be awarded in a ceremony beginning at 7:15 pm. Prizes include Best of Show, two ArtSpace/Lima Photography Club Merit Awards, the Senior Award, First, Second and Honorable Mention awards in each category, and Youth awards.

The exhibit runs through Feb. 13, 2016.
