LIMA – The Allen County 4-H Horse Association is pleased to announce their 12th Annual Pancake Day will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the F.O.P. Hall, 750 W. Robb Avenue. The event is scheduled to run from 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Let’s have a stack of fun and raise money for the youth in Allen County. Continuing with the success of 2010’s completion of the Pavilion at the fairgrounds, this fundraiser helps the horse 4-h program grow stronger with every passing year. In 2015 the Horse 4-H Clubs added a flag pole and paving to begin their landscape beautification project. The community support of this event helps us continue to grow and improve the Schmidthorst Pavilion for future events. 2016 will bring more changes as we get closer to fair time, stay tuned to see what’s in store for this popular facility.
Bring your friends and family to enjoy “All you can eat pancakes and sausage.” Beverages included. While at the event, visit our silent auction with great donations made by area businesses and of course we have a tasty bake sale!
Tickets are $7.00 if you call in advance or $8.00 at the door. Children 4-8 are $4.00 and 3 & under are FREE. Pick up tickets at the Allen County Fairgrounds, Scout House on Robb Ave and Yazel’s Flowers & Gifts on Allentown Rd. Like us on Facebook @ ALLEN COUNTY HORSE 4-H.
There are over 1,000 4-H youth involved in Allen County, with over 50 clubs and 200 projects from Horses/Animals to Robotics. If a child has an interest in something, we have a project they can take. Some of the highlights of 4-H: 4-H Camp, 4-H Judging, Allen County Fair and making new friends. Clubs are starting to organize now so if you have questions about joining call the extension office at 419-879-9108 or go online www.allen.osu.edu.
